Wheels keep on turning

The weekend was a nice escape from the work environment, much needed. Now we are back and of course in full throttle. I've continued to work on this massive excel spread sheet (the burdens of knowing technology like we do) that has tallied up to over 200 cells in length. The spreadsheet consists of "affiliated" and "student" chapters of the Golf Course Superintendents Association. All together these different chapters make up the GCSAA or Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. These chapters ("affiliated") are regional groups/organizations that consist of multiple superintendents in that specific area. There are chapters located all throughout the United States but there are many more outside of the USA. My task is to pool together all of these names of various chapters (and emails of course) and send out emails in hopes to expand the digital subscriptions for the supers (short for superintendents, it's an office thing). Once they sign up for the digital subscription, every month they will receive Golfdom magazine on their computer, FOR FREE! These chapters then can spread the magazine subscriptions to all of their supers and some supers that aren't in these chapters (which most are, but you never know). For the "student" chapters, these are the colleges that have superintendent and golf course management courses available for majoring at the college/university. We are trying to reach out to these young, aspiring superintendents to get them reading Golfdom, so when they delve into the real world of superintendents and start managing their own course, they will have the richest magazine on the market to help them with their endeavors. Golfdom wants to create a strong (early) relationship with these future superintendents so they will continue reading the magazine throughout their careers.

Here's to another busy week filled with learning experiences throughout!
