Can't Go Wrong with Food...

As my action packed journey continues...
I figured I'd talk about the food and lunch lifestyle I've been living the past couple of weeks, especially since I'm working on the same project this whole week (there really isn't anything exciting happening right now). So, the life of a businessman when the clock strikes lunch hour (or sometimes a lot shorter). There are many options you could take when you do or don't step outside your cubicle for lunch. We'll start from the closest eating spot to my wonderful chair, the desk. Though I haven't been able to stay at my desk to eat lunch (it's not fun) I've seen others around me do this, usually entails trail mix and chips or a small sandwich, nothing too crazy. The reason some sit at their desk is they don't want to ruin their train of thought while working on a project or lay out, possibly with a deadline. The next hotspot for lunch is the lunchroom (surprise! we have one of those too). The lunch room consists of an average kitchen - coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave and everything else. Eating here is nice, it compliments the work day perfectly, you get a little TV to get your mind off of things and usually accompanied by some fellow co-workers. Eating in the lunchroom means two things, 1. your mom (in my case, most of these people are too old to live with mom) packs you lunch for the day or 2. you go out and get a sub/sandwich and bring it back. Nothing beats a prepared meal from mother for lunch but sometimes it just can't happen. The third option for us workers is to venture out into downtown cleveland to find a nice place to eat. Near me are some great small restaurants but also some simple Subway or Quiznos grab and go. I've been a couple places but haven't found any small places that have killer food, all mediocre. The key to lunch around the office is finding a source to reenergize. Working 3 - 4 hours prior to lunch is very tiring and without a good meal in a good environment then the rest of the day will be a struggle. You never thought lunch could be so hard, but it is a very important decision to make.
Hopefully I'll finish up the project today (seeing that I won't be in tomorrow due to AP stats) and will be off to another project that awaits me
