Aside from Cooking
Even though my project is based off of cooking and to see whether or not I want to make it my profession, I'm learning a lot more than how to use a knife correctly or what goes where; I'm learning a lot about myself and people in general (which is good because I plan on majoring in sociology). I learned that when you ask for help, more will help you than not. If you don't understand something, they won't treat you like you're stupid for not knowing a basic tool in the kitchen. If anything, the people I work with want to help you in every way they can, even if they're having a bad/busy day. I've also learned that there are way more good people than there are bad people (after all the trauma lately with Boston it seems like there is no good left in the world). This might not have to do with cooking, but it's a life lesson that I think is essential to learn.
