Unlucky circumstances

Last week I went to meet a client who had the possibility of being charged with a felony. His name is Patrick, he is a very well spoken, nice 25 year old from Nigeria. His family business is incredibly successful so he works for that, he graduated college and has never been in trouble. However, while at a bar with some friends he tried what is called K2. Although completely legal, K2, or syntheic marijuana, really messes with your mind. After only two hits, Patrick unfortunately beat up a police officer..and was sent to prison subsequently. Me and the lawyer I am following met with him and the policeman as well as the prosecution, and discussed what possible deals were on the table. At the end of the day, the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, and Patrick was incredibly thankful for the services of Mr. Drucker, the lawyer I am doing project with.
