Making Boats

The past couple of days the third grade Chinese class has been preparing for their dragon boat regatta this coming Thursday. Last Thursday I spent half the day blowing up six large orange rafts for the occasion with just one small air pump.  Each boat took 30 minutes to blow up so it was a very time consuming task to say the least!  however after that much hard work i couldn't help but feel a great sense of satisfaction as I stepped back and started and the 6 huge rafts leaning on the wall of the multi purpose room.  I was anxious to say the least to see the boats in a action after all the tedious work and time it took to put them together.

On a separate note later that day Mrs. Davis came to visit me which i was very happy about because I'm very proud of my project and wanted her to see how good of a job I was doing.  She came in right as I was about to begin helping Mrs. Pavlik, Mr. Walton, and Mr. Rodriguez teach the sixth graders (the last class of the day).  I was very please and surprised to see Mrs. Pavlik standing by her and talking to her almost the entire time that I was supervising "free play" in the gym.  After class both Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Pavlik told me how great I was doing with helping out and how much the P.E staff appreciated my help so overall I'd say the visit went really well!
