Self Inflicted Injury

This past week was the first time I witnessed a self inflicted injury by a client. These incidents are very random and occur almost daily. Different triggers are known to set off these incidents and without warning. One client's trigger is a cough and if anyone coughs while in the same area as her she becomes aggressive, while on the opposite end if someone sneezes she finds it funny and cannot stop laughing. These triggers are usually known by staff and faculty before they take care of clients in a preventative way to ensure safety. Hopefully this next week is not as hectic in terms of self inflicted injury and runs smoothly!

  1. oh my god! that's insane Sarah. How are you liking your senior project so far? Have you witnessed any other patience "acting out" to social triggers, and are you investigating the causes are sometimes unknown, unlike this one.

Stuff like this really intrigues me, especially from the psychological aspect. I hope you are really enjoying this senior project, because to me, it sounds extremely intriguing.
